Robichaud, Louis

Louis Joseph Robichaud was born in 1925 in Saint-Antoine. He died in 2005 in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. He was Premier of New Brunswick from 1960 to 1970. His liberal government passed the New Brunswick Official Languages Act in 1969, making New Brunswick officially bilingual. He also created a French-language university in New Brunswick (Université de Moncton).
