Saint-Léolin

Saint-Léolin is a Canadian village in Gloucester County, northeastern New Brunswick. There were 684 inhabitants in 2012.

Saint-Léolin was originally established in the 1800s. The first inhabitant was Joseph Bertin with his son Gustave.

The new village bore the name of “Village of Saint-Joseph” until 1903, but there were two other Saint-Josephs in New Brunswick and it was decided to change the saint.

Saint-Léolin est un village canadien du comté de Gloucester, au nord-est du Nouveau-Brunswick. On y comptait 684 habitants en 2012.

Saint-Léolin fut originalement établi vers les années 1800. Le premier habitant fut Joseph Bertin en compagnie de son fils Gustave.

D’ailleurs jusqu’en août 1903, le nouveau village porta le nom de « Village de Saint-Joseph » mais il y avait deux autres Saint-Joseph au Nouveau-Brunswick et on décide de changer de saint.
